Connected to the Industry. Discover our Memberships

We don’t just deliver technology. We actively help shape the future of telecom and broadband! By participating in leading industry associations, we stay connected, share expertise, and drive innovation that benefits the entire community.

Fiber Broadband Association

We’re a proud member of the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA), the largest trade group representing the full fiber ecosystem: service providers, manufacturers, industry experts, and deployment specialists. The FBA works to accelerate fiber broadband deployment, helping communities benefit from its unmatched speed, reliability, and economic potential.

As members, we take part in industry-leading programs, initiatives, and events such as the Fiber Connect conference and Regional Fiber Connect gatherings, where we exchange expertise, build partnerships, and help shape the future of broadband. Through the FBA’s advocacy and education, we support efforts to close the digital divide, promote digital equity, and create a better quality of life through world-class fiber connectivity.

In addition, Globema actively contributes to the Canadian Working Group at the Fiber Broadband Association, where our Technology and Product Consultant, Ian Oliver, serves as a Co-Chair. This group brings together more than 80 members to strengthen the fiber broadband ecosystem in Canada. Its initiatives focus on delivering valuable resources, fostering research, producing consistent thought leadership, and creating meaningful networking opportunities. Current member priorities include streamlining permitting and private locating processes to accelerate construction timelines, adapting U.S. FBA research to the Canadian market, and addressing workforce development needs across the country.

FTTH Council Europe

The FTTH Council Europe is a non-profit association promoting full fibre-based connectivity across the continent as a future-proof, climate-friendly infrastructure. Fibre enables exceptional fixed and wireless performance, supports cutting-edge digital services, and helps position Europe as a leader in sustainability and global competitiveness.

Globema contributes to the Council’s mission by engaging with industry stakeholders, policymakers, and innovators, and by taking part in the annual FTTH Conference—the world’s largest fibre event. This platform brings together operators, investors, vendors, and decision-makers for valuable networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration.

Independent Telecommunications Providers Association (ITPA)

The Independent Telecommunications Providers Association (ITPA) is a non-profit organization representing 21 independent, incumbent telecommunications companies across Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. The ITPA advocates for its members’ interests before governments, agencies, and industry stakeholders, while also serving as a forum for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Its mission is to support and represent independent telecommunications providers in these provinces and to foster the exchange of expertise across the industry.

As an associate member, we are committed to:

  • collaborating with industry leaders and local providers,
  • supporting innovation and investment in rural telecommunications,
  • sharing our expertise to help strengthen communities across Canada.

Our colleague Ian Oliver, who represents Globema in Canada, is actively engaged in the ITPA community, eager to connect and exchange insights about our solutions.
