Every year (except the infamous 2020 and 2021), Globema organizes a two-day company retreat, where colleagues come together for exhilarating parties and exciting team-building games. This cherished tradition enables us to forge stronger connections with both our daily collaborators and those we may not interact with as frequently. This year, our integration was particularly special, because we celebrated our company’s 25th anniversary!
Our party traditions
The first day of the retreat typically includes short presentations, followed by a collective dinner and an unforgettable night of revelry. The subsequent day features a series of games and team-building activities, allowing participants to showcase their skills and camaraderie.
In recent years, we introduced a themed dress code and decorations, adding an extra layer of excitement. From pirate adventures to immersive experiences in the Polish People’s Republic era, these themes have sparked creativity and friendly competition among our team members.

A jubilee in the Great Gatsby’s style
This year, our retreat was held in May. For our 25th anniversary, the retreat took on a new level of grandeur. Held at a hotel in Warsaw, the event welcomed Globemians from our foreign branches – Czechia, Romania, Serbia, and the USA. For many of us, it was the first time meeting face-to-face!
After a series of engaging presentations, company gifts, and a delectable dinner, it was time to prepare for the grand celebration. The theme for this year’s jubilee was inspired by the glitz and glamour of the 1920s and the Great Gatsby era, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

Our jubilee party went beyond just indulging in delightful food and drinks, although those were certainly important elements of the festivities 😁 Let’s take a closer look at the captivating attractions that unfolded throughout the night and the following day.
Dancing with the professionals
To kick off the festivities, we were treated to an enchanting dance show performed by a professional duet. They not only entertained us but also imparted some dance moves, transforming the dance floor into a lively spectacle of swirling couples and enthusiastic groups. It was a refreshing break from our everyday routines spent in front of computers!
Discovering our alter egos with a caricaturist
A caricaturist joined us during the party, capturing our unique personalities in humorous and artistic sketches. The laughter and surprise that ensued were undeniable, as some of us discovered previously unknown alter egos! 😁
Globema’s anniversary cake
No anniversary celebration is complete without a cake! Amidst laughter and cheers, the management board raised a toast to commemorate the milestone. The grand entrance of the anniversary cake marked a moment of collective indulgence as we all savored a piece of the delicious creation. 🤩
A stroke of luck – Wheel of Fortune and other games
Throughout the evening, we had the opportunity to try our luck at spinning the Wheel of Fortune and engage in exciting games such as poker, roulette, and blackjack.
Photo booth
A photo booth, an essential element of any Globemian party, brought us a lot of joy. Capturing candid and posed moments, the photo booth provided us with both immediate laughter and printed film rolls as cherished souvenirs.
Teambuilding
The day following the jubilee party, we participated in invigorating team-building activities. Divided into teams, we embarked on a quest to complete various challenges scattered around the hotel grounds. The tasks required speed, precision, and teamwork, and each team strove to emerge victorious. Congratulations to the winners!
