- Professional application of maps,
- System integration,
- AI/ML-supported analyses,
- Data digitalization.
We’ve been on the market for 25 years now – how did it all begin?
Globema was established in December 1997 as the initiative of Marek and Maria Gondzio. Soon they were joined by Marek Maniecki (1998) and Ryszard Rybus (2002). A dozen or so years earlier, they met at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology.
The company was established to introduce innovative GIS systems and geospatial solutions to the transforming Polish IT market.
In 1998, Globema already established a partnership with the British company Smallworld, taken over by the General Electric concern in 2000. We maintained this partnership and quickly obtained the status of a GE Energy Business Partner, acting as the only Value Added Reseller of Smallworld software in Poland.
At that time, we also completed the first implementations of this software at telecommunications operators, electricity distributors, and heating companies.
Soon we also started building our own proprietary solutions, initially based on the GE Smallworld platform. We have also established numerous strategic partnerships, including with Google, Microsoft, and Safe Software.
Globema’s operations have always been based on the desire to bring positive changes by implementing modern solutions and innovations. Despite the passage of years and many changes that Globema continues to undergo, this idea remains unchanged.
