Our team completed first GE Smallworld Physical Network Inventory 5.1.3 deployment in Poland. The system will be used by TOYA Group (fourth largest cable TV operator in Poland) to model over 1,000 kilometers of fiber optics.

The deployment covered Smallworld Physical Network Inventory (PNI) 5.1.3 implementation along with Network Inventory Gateway (in order to provide internet and intranet access to data held within PNI) and FME Desktop. The solution was also enhanced with the commonly used PNI add-ons: Physical Route Manager (PRM) and Optical Network Atlas (ONA). The project was finished by professional trainings for the users. The solution is now covered by maintenance and support.

GE Smallworld NIS on Polish cable TV market

Over 600 companies operate on the Polish cable TV market. Six largest operators provide services to over 90% of the cable TV subscribers. Five companies from this group: UPC Poland, Multimedia Poland, Netia, Inea and TOYA use Smallworld Network Inventory to model and manage their networks. Globema implemented comprehensive Network Inventory solutions at all of these companies.
