Integration of Smallworld EL.GIS with SAP at PGE

Globema integrated SAP system with Smallworld-based EL.GIS system for PGE Rzeszow Region. PGE (Polska Grupa Energetyczna, Polish Energy Group) has been using Smallworld EL.GIS for over 15 years. This was another SAP – EL.GIS integration project conducted for PGE by Globema – last year we developed a set of interfaces for PGE Lodz.

The project was completed accordingly to the 4 months schedule. Globema developed eight interfaces between SAP and EL.GIS on an Enterprise Service Bus and with the use of Web Service technology. The scope of the integrations included: fixed assets, functional locations, orders and other system objects. The new features include, among others:

  • SAP session opening from GIS
  • displaying data of a selected fixed asset in GIS
  • logging to GIS from SAP
  • displaying GIS object in SAP
  • creating functional location in SAP from GIS.
