As in previous years, Globema actively participated in the 2013 Digital Energy International Software Summit, held by the General Electric company in Brighton, UK, on the 13-16 May 2013.
The meeting in Brighton attracted GE Digital Energy software users from around the world. The participants had the opportunity to take a closer look on innovative solutions for Telecoms and Utilities, participate in numerous workshops and share experiences. During the event GE has also announced its Smallworld Network Inventory 4.3 software solution. The software update enables telecom providers with an array of advanced network management solutions, including increased support for designing, building and managing fiber networks.

This year’s conference was a great opportunity to present Globema’s products to the international market. We experienced a strong interest in the products and services offered by our company. Particular attention was attracted by the solutions based on Google GEO tools (for Telecomms and Utilities), telecommunications modules (PRM, ONA, FTTH Navigator) and mobile applications (MDC Telco, MDC Gas, NIMS).
We also experienced a great interest in the papers presented by Globema’s customers and staff:
- Marek Samujłło, CIO at EmiTel, presented the recently completed FFA implementation at EmiTel (leading terrestrial radio and TV broadcast infrastructure operator in Poland)
- Bartosz Lech, Project Manager from Globema, showed how Smallworld, FFA and Google integration can support end-to-end, comprehensive operational processes
- Tomasz Gulczynski, Director of Software Development Center at Globema & Grzegorz Kowalczyk, Telecommunications Inspector at PERN (oil transmission enterprise) gave a lecture on ”How the enhanced pigging data handling helps maintain an oil transmission map in GTO”.

Next year, the EMEA GE Digital Energy Summit will be held in Rotterdam.
