On 30 January 2012 the Minister of Economy in Poland, Waldemar Pawlak, signed the decision to award & register Globema as a Research and Development Organization. This way Globema has joined the elite group of 24 privately-owned companies having such a status in Poland. By registering as a R&D entity, Globema will have the obligation to actively conduct research and development projects and implement the results.

Globema has already a proven record in performing technical research aimed to develop and implement new or significantly improved products and services:.

  • The company is cooperating with the National Center for Research and Development, which granted funds for “4RES – System supporting growth in participation of renewable energy providers in the electricity market ” via the INNOTECH program. The project goal is to develop a IT solution for energy operators to forecast the demand, calculate capabilities and connect renewable energy sources (wind farms, water and sun power generation) to the whole energy grid. The project 4RES will be implemented in the Software Development Center – Globema’s R&D unit – in the Laboratory for GIS Systems Development and in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering in the Warsaw University of Technology.
  • Globema also runs projects co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, such as District Heating Office – system to manage the network infrastructure, outages and distribution in heat energy enterprises or ELGrid – a complex SmartGrid solution for energy operators.

For us, the measure of success are the benefits that these innovations bring to our customers.
