The mission of Globema is to streamline operations and improve efficiency of our Customers’ businesses through support of their strategic and workflow business processes. Our mission is accomplished through delivery, deployment and integration of comprehensive IT solutions.

History
Globema Ltd was established in December 1997. Initially, since the beginning of 1998, our business focused on partnership with the British Smallworld, and after its acquisition in 2000, with General Electric — as a Business Partner of GE Energy and the sole Value Added Reseller of Smallworld software in Poland. Our principal business on the Polish market comprises implementing projects at telecom operators, electricity and district heating utilities. Today, Globema is a leader on the market of GIS-based solutions for utilities and telecommunications in Poland. Our staff was also involved in projects implemented in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, UK, Denmark and Switzerland. Our branch offices - Globema CZ s.r.l in Prague opened in 2004 and Globema RO SRL opened in 2008 - successfully execute our corporate strategy of expanding business in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2010 we opened Globema US LLC covering the North American market.

Products and Solutions
Globema has developed a number of specialized, industry specific,  GE Smallworld-based, spatial resources management systems for companies that operate various networks. Our products provide functionalities for network inventory, planning and design of network upgrades , operational support, outage management and mobile staff management. Integration tools allow interaction with ERP, SCADA, billing, CRM and other systems, generating added value by supporting investment planning, area sales analyses and market research. Spatial Intelligence is a BI class solution used for preparing advanced spatial business analyses of data derived from disparate sources. We use Smallworld software and the .NET platform to implement a number of solutions supporting specific business processes and expanding basic functionality of the core Smallworld system. More sophisticated solutions include multi-module network inventory systems for electric power, district heating and gas supply networks with business process oriented add-on modules like for instance a Web-based application supporting procedures of connecting new customers to a network.  Modular structure of our systems gives Customers flexibility in selection and building solutions best matched to their requirements.

Services
Globema offers analytical, software development and implementation services associated with implementing integrated IT systems, focusing mainly on solutions used to manage spatial resources. In-depth analysis of enterprise needs prepared prior to design and implementation works involves business, functional and integration issues, leading to formulation of comprehensive spatial information system designs or engineering services management systems tailored to specific needs of our Customers. High quality of our services has been recognized also by GE Energy. Globema and GE Energy signed a long-term framework Master Service Agreement, providing for participation of Globema staff in Smallworld-related projects of GE Energy throughout the world. Globema consultants and coaches also offer their experience and industry know-how through training courses and seminars relating to the systems being offered and the scope of their application.

Our staff
Globema was incorporated by a team of IT and GIS specialists who dealt previously with various CAD and GIS tools, including Smallworld. Founders and managers of the company have the long-term management experience in software development projects. Two of three company owners have PhDs in Computer Science. Globema’s staff includes over 100 of highly skilled software specialists who combine good record in development and implementation of Smallworld-based applications with in-depth engineering knowledge of application areas such as telecommunication, energy, gas industry and district heating.
